Abbey End Dental Practice provides NHS and Private treatments and with our experienced team we offer a full range of preventative and cosmetic dentistry. All new patients to the practice will be asked to fill in a medical history form on arrival. We do our best to ensure your dental care meets your individual needs and will discuss the proposed treatment options with you, giving you time to ask questions and consider the alternatives. Each surgery is equipped with technology to help us diagnose when treatment is required and explain the treatment options to you. We may suggest referral to a particular specialist if this is appropriate – for example some orthodontic treatment, implants, sedation and oral surgery. Further appointments are made before leaving the practice and new and existing patients where possible will see the same dentist. If for any circumstance this is not possible we will inform patients on arrival of their appointment. All patients have a right to express a preference of practitioner and whilst we will endeavour to make every effort to arrange this it may not be possible in every case.
During practice hours, we will endeavour to see any patient who has a DENTAL EMERGENCY. If you have a problem please telephone the practice as early in the day as possible as we have time each day specifically for emergencies. Should you have a dental emergency outside normal practice hours which requires attention, please ring 111
If you are not able to keep your appointment please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given for any private treatment then a charge will be made. If a patient cancels an appointment at short notice or fails to attend on more than one occasion, the patient may be refused further care under the NHS.
Practice Payment Policy
It is our policy to give patients full information about the cost of their dental work before any treatment is undertaken. A written estimate and treatment plan is given to each patient and a signed copy is kept by the practice. If proposed treatment or cost changes, a further treatment plan and estimate will be provided. We try to make payment as straightforward as possible. Our policy is that patients are asked to pay a deposit prior to the commencement of treatment and the balance on completion. Any patient claiming exemption of treatment will be asked to provide evidence of their exemption.
Patient confidentiality at our practice is taken seriously and all information about our patients is treated with the strictest confidence in accordance with our practice policy. If you would like a copy of our practice confidentiality policy, please contact the practice.
